I enjoy the arts, literature. I am a retired English teacher, now a literacy coordinator and coach. I enjoy the exciting potential of Web 2.0 technologies and their applications as well as developing the blogging format.

Build It and They Will Come?

The 1989 film Field of Dreams is about a farmer in love with baseball, particularly glorious past teams such as The Chicago White Sox. Shoeless Joe Jackson was banned for throwing the 1919 World Series. One day the farmer (Kevin Costner) hears a voice, "If you build it, he will come." The allure of the movie is the climactic fantasy near the end when Costner builds a ball diamond in his corn field.
